Vegan Prawn / Shrimp Style Crackers

Cook Time 3 minutes
Total Time 8 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 1/2 nori sheet
  • salt
  • Rice paper sheets
  • Neutral tasting high smoke point oil.

Instructions

  1. Chop, grind or blend sesame seeds, nori and salt together into a seasoning.
  2. Cut rice paper sheets into equal segments with scissors.
  3. Heat some high smoke point oil in a frying pan around 160c 320f.
  4. Test if the oil is hot enough with one sheet, if it doesn’t puff immediately then your oil is too cold.
  5. Fry the rice paper pieces one or two at a time.
  6. Season the pieces well and enjoy with a sweet chilli dipping sauce, link to a great recipe below.
