  • 4 whole cloves
  • 1/2 tsp fennel seeds

Instructions

  1. Toast all the whole spices in a dry frying pan or skillet, until fragrant and lightly smoking.
  2. Place the spices onto a plate to cool for 2 minutes
  3. Blend, grind or pound in a pestle mortar until you have a fine powder.
